85-letniemu Victorowi (Pierre Richard) grozi eksmisja. Mężczyzna nie ma żadnej rodziny ani bliskich znajomych, którzy mogliby go przygarnąć. Jego sąsiadka Alice (Sara Forestier), stażystka w popularnym plotkarskim magazynie, martwi się problemami staruszka. Pewnego dnia wpada na szalony pomysł. Postanawia zorganizować konkurs, którego zwycięzca będzie mógł adoptować Victora.
