Der Radiotherapeut Dr. David Kelley muss sich von aufgeblasenen Kleinigkeiten bis zu Selbstmordandrohung so ziemlich alles anhören, so dass er schon eine gewisse Gleichmut entwickelt hat. Seine Freundin Lisa Grant, eine Immbilienmaklerin, versucht ihn aufzuheitern, nicht zuletzt, weil er tatsächlich einen Selbstmord mitanhören musste. Doch es gibt noch schlimmere Anrufer, wie z.B. den geheimnisvollen Harry, der eine Menge über die Mordserie an Immobilienmaklerinnen weiß, die die Stadt in Acht und Bann hält. Alsbald ist auch Lisa in Gefahr und David hält den Schlüssel dazu in der Hand...
